Meet Amelia

Hello People! My name is Amelia, and I’m a 1-year-old poodle looking for a family to call my own. Like most poodles, I’m intelligent and eager to learn new things. I love doing zoomies in the backyard, tossing stuffies around, and following my foster sister’s lead. I am crate and potty-trained, and working on basic commands. I will need continued instruction and socialization to be the best poodle around. My future human family will need to be patient and understand the importance of crate training because I like taking shoes, socks, and toys outside to chew on them. I’m a typical 1-year-old pup, and I’m hoping for a family who can be patient with me as I learn and grow.

Since I had limited friends growing up, I need slow introductions to new dog pals and people. Sometimes, fast-moving little humans can make me nervous, but I’ve gotten used to the 13-year-old boy who lives in the house, especially since he likes giving me treats. I also want to make my presence known when going outside, and I need to be reminded not to bark and wake the neighbors up in the morning. The best part of my foster family is my foster sister, and if I can’t live with her forever, I would like another well-adjusted fur friend in my new home.
