Meet Bubba

Hi guys, I’m Bubba and I am everyone’s Buddy. I used to have a family of my own but, I wasn’t cared for very well and then we lost our home in a fire. I was taken in by a good Samaritan, who cared for me, and helped me get to the beefy self I was meant to be.

I love my people so much and I especially love snuggles and lap time, even though people seem to think I’m too big for that. I get along well with other dogs, I’m curious about cats and I don’t understand why the cats in my foster home always want to run away from me since I have never tried to hurt them. I am good on a leash, I like dogs but really prefer proper, slow introductions (I hear most dogs feel this way) and really like kids but I really like when they are respectful of my boundaries. I loves the toys at my foster’s house and I could happily spend a good part of my day running in and out of the house and around the yard with all the different toys. My foster said I am such a happy doofus but, I’m not sure I have heard this word before.

I really would love to have a home of my own. I’d love for my people to be home all the time with me but, really what I need is a patient family who will help me to learn to be a brave grown up, to understand my boundaries and to know that they will come back so I don’t have to be scared. I like to jump on people sometimes and I do believe I am a lap dog, foster mom says I need to learn that is not the case. I say pooey to that!

I can be a bit protective of my people, and this is the right age for you to teach keep that I don’t need to do that. I’m excited for all the things I will learn in my new forever home.
