Meet Dawson!

Hi! My name is Dawson, and I’m a dapper fellow who would like nothing more than to be your date for evening walks to the park or snuggles while we watch a movie.

I have almost perfect leash manners, ride nicely in the car, and although I may prefer snuggles over my crate, I’ve learned this can be my safe place when life gets extra busy.

I’ve had a few different homes during one trip around the sun, and I have found that I prefer a quiet place where my adult humans are home most of the time. I also like other well-mannered fur friends who don’t mind an occasional tug-o-war or snuggle on the couch.

I know I’m handsome with my long golden and white fur, but what makes me extra special is my two front legs. I was born with multiple orthopedic abnormalities requiring lifelong care with dietary supplements and proper weight management.

Recently, I visited an excellent animal doctor at Oregon State University, and they did not feel surgery was in my best interest at this time. Hopefully, with my new Ortho-Pet’s brace, I will be able to live a long and happy life.
